Conference Introduction
The most dynamic and far-reaching innovative area in the 21st century is life science. Especially the coronavirus outbreak has had and would possibly has a long-lasting impact on the world since the end of 2019, which has put the development in the field of life and health under the global spotlight. Experts from Zhejiang Province Bioengineering Society, Zhejiang University of Technology, Zhejiang University and other institutions, as well as representatives of enterprises propose and invite the leading academic institutions in the area of life science to co-organize and participate in an international youth academic exchange activity, which has been named as “Bio+” Innovation & Entrepreneurship conference (hereinafter referred to as the Conference) in the spring of 2021.
With the strong support and guidance of China Association for Science and Technology and the people's Government of Zhejiang Province, the conference has been included in a series of activities of the "2021 World Young Scientist Summit". The conference is based in Zhejiang, China and faces to the undergraduate students around the world. In addition to academic advantages of universities, the conference also introduces multiple social resources from enterprises and public welfare organizations in order to encourage and lead the young people – mainly undergraduate students in colleges and universities to achieve interdisciplinary innovation challenges with clear application scenarios in the field of life science as well as to explore the entrepreneurial prospects of their projects based on their academic knowledge. The conference aims to mobilize and give full play to the unlimited creativity of young students, as well as broaden their horizons of internationalization and industrialization through this event. We hope students can strengthen their confidence in their studied major after they finish the project, at mean time, we may discover, train and cultivate talents for the development of life science disciplines and industries. Furthermore, our conference expects to strengthen and promote the multilateral integration of industry, study and research. While paying attention to the self-value discovery of talented youth and the cultivation of the ability to create value, we also mobilize relevant enterprises and ventures to explore and incubate high-quality projects, so as to promote the development of the industry with technological progress in engineering application or innovation in business models.
The first conference will last for three days, which will be held in Hangzhou at the end of October 2021, consists of project demonstration and awarding activities, academic summit which is composed of a series of cutting-edge academic speeches, scientists round table discussion on public hot issues, the life science industry forum and other modules. Famous university experts, young students from top universities and industry leaders around the world are invited to attend the conference to create an international academic carnival in the realm of "big life and great health".
