Safety and Ethics
Article 1In order to reinforce the safety standard of participating projects and protect the health of conference participants as well as general public, this regulation is formulated in accordance with The Biosafety Law of the People's Republic of China, Animal Management Regulations, and Measures for Ethical Review of Biomedical Research Involving Human Beings.
Article 2All projects involving biosafety or bioethical considerations must be carried out in strict compliance with standard biosafety and bioethics management implementation methods, experimental operating procedures, protective measures and contingency plans for emergencies. Team members participating in the experimental operation should complete the biosafety and bioethical training.
Article 3The team instructor and laboratory director are the onsite supervisors to ensure laboratory safety. All the experimental procedures should strictly abide to the relevant national standards, technical specifications, and operating protocols. The laboratory director should be responsible for laboratory safety and proper experiment implementation.
Article 4Laboratories involving biosafety must have corresponding facilities and conditions, such as proper protection equipment, professional laboratory instructors and protocols to prevent the spread of biological pollutants.
Article 5The waste of biological experiment must be disposed safely. The waste involved in the biological pollutant experiment must be sterilized by high temperature autoclave, and all the waste must be put into the special yellow plastic garbage bag, then handed over to school for unified transportation and disposal, and shall not be discarded at will.
Article 6Animal experiments must be carried out in facilities with Experimental Animal License by following relevant rules, regulations as well as operating procedures. Corresponding protection and emergency disposal must be done well.
Article 7The keeping and processing of experimental animals must follow the animal ethics and welfare.
Article 8Any project that violates this regulation will not pass the safetyðics review. This Regulation shall be interpreted by the organizing committee, and the matters not covered shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant national laws and regulations.
